Hydroponics is a growing technique in which the plants are grown without soil. Usually, plants are suspended in a soilless media to hold the roots in place for water and nutrient absorption. This allows the nutrient to touch the plant roots directly, resulting in stronger plant growth. The main benefits of hydroponics include responsive plant productivity, higher yields, water conservation, and soil conservation.

By placing plants in individual channels, the roots of each plant get equal access to nutrients and water.
